This image, part of Feingold’s “lollipop series,” captures a 25 year-old Madonna ahead of her self-titled debut album in 1982, which would go on to peak at number eight on the billboard charts. According to Feingold, “this shot only took twenty minutes. We were each on the cusp of our careers… she was made up already and had so much charisma.”
