Arthur Gorson
Arthur Gorson has established a prestigious career in music and film. His extensive travel assignments and collaboration with iconic creative personalities has allowed unique access for his photography. His classic photos of Bob Marley provide the album covers "Taking Blues" and the 2019 re-release of Bob Marley and The Wailers' "Lively Up Yourself," as well as art for the deluxe CD/Album edition of "Catch a Fire."
His photographs have been published in "Rolling Stones Magazine" as well as books such as: "Songs of Freedom" by Adrian Boot and Chris Salewics and Taschen Books "Bob Marley/ Music Icon." His photos were featured in Kevin Macdonald's biopic "Marley."
Gorson's feature film screen-credits as Producer include: "Cronos" by Oscar winner Guillermo del Toro; "Better Watch Out" and "Road to Nowhere" by Monte Hellman; "Cabeza de Vaca" by Timur Bekmambetov; and "No Place Like Home" by Jamaica's Perry Henzell (2019).
He produced the documentary films "The Roots of Reggae - The Ernest Ranglin Story", "The Silent Children" and "Perry Henzell: A Filmmakers Odyssey."
Gorson has also produced over 75 major music videos and broadcast commercials. As of January 2020, music videos produced with director Dean Karr have received over 450 MILLION combined views on YouTube. He was a producer of the 3 disc compilation "The Harder They Come: Collector's Edition" - chosen by the Los Angeles Times as among the "10 Best of 2019."
