Baron Wolman
Baron Wolman was Rolling Stone's first staff photographer and from 1967 through the early seventies his pictures appeared in nearly every issue. While working there he had virtually unlimited access to the stars of the day, photographing Janis Joplin, The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan and Jim Morrison among others.
After leaving Rolling Stone, Wolman started a counterculture magazine called Rags which was acknowledge as a journalist success.
Baron Wolman: Every Pictures Tells A Story, the Rolling Stone Years was published in 2011. The book talks about Wolman's career from the beginning of Rolling Stone and tells the story behind his photographs.
