Eternally Elvis! | A World Premiere Photography Exhibition
FEATURING RARE & UNSEEN ELVIS PRESLEY PHOTOGRAPHS FROM 1955 – 1957
-In Honor of Elvis Presley's 85th Birthday-
Curated by Sam Milgrom, Mr Musichead Gallery will present a stellar photography collection culled from the archives of photographers Bill Avery, Roy Cummings, Roger Marshutz, William “Popsie” Randolph, Ernest E. Reshovsky, Gabi Rona, and Bob Willoughby. The event will take place at 7420 W Sunset Blvd from 7-10PM. The exhibition will be on display through January 15th and is being considered for display in other cities. Included in the exhibition are images from a live performance in Elvis Presley’s hometown of Tupelo, Mississippi (Mississippi - Alabama Fair, 1956), a rehearsal and performance on the Ed Sullivan Show, backstage images, candid shots, publicity shoot outtakes, Elvis with Bill Haley, Elvis on the set of the films 'Love Me Tender' and 'Jailhouse Rock', and a few images of a young Priscilla Beaulieu, who was to marry Elvis a decade later.
On display will be over 40 estate-stamped, limited edition silver gelatin prints. All images are available to purchase in 4 different sizes.
The event will feature:
- Live music from Los Angeles Rockabilly sensation James Intveld and his Trio playing early Elvis hits
- A fully restored 1957 Cadillac Eldorado convertible (the same model purchased by Elvis)
- Scotty Moore’s original Gibson Guitar on display courtesy of Guitar Centers
- Appetizers preferred by Elvis, prepared by Chef Vinh Nguyen
- Craft cocktails by Mixologist Ramon Camacho
