    About the photographer

    Mick Rock is often referred to as "The Man Who Shot the Seventies." He is responsible for most of the memorable images of David Bowie as Ziggy Stardust, as he worked as Bowie's official photographer at the time. Beyond Bowie, he took iconic shots of rock and roll legends such as Queen, Blondie, The Ramones and Joan Jett. More recently, he's photographed stars such as Snoop Dogg, Lady Gaga, Daft Punk and Alicia Keys. Rock has published numerous books featuring his photographs and has been the subject of a television series and documentary. His works have been displayed in major exhibitions worldwide.
