About this photograph
David Bowie, photographed for the cover of the Loving The Alien single, 1985. Photographed by Steve Rapport
"It was around 1:30 in the morning at the end of two days of filming David Bowie’s Loving The Alien video, and I had to say to the crew 'sorry but we still need to do the shots for the single sleeve.' And everyone stayed. The make-up artist applied the blue face paint, the lighting guys set up a light, and the art dept put the plastic “stained glass” on the wall. Of the studio bathroom. And David Bowie stood in the bathtub while I took these shots" - Steve Rapport
