About the photographer

Elliott Landy, born in 1942, is known for capturing the anti-Vietnam War movement and the underground music scene from 1967 to 1969, including icons like Bob Dylan, Janis Joplin, and Jimi Hendrix. As the official photographer for the 1969 Woodstock Festival, he documented an era-defining moment in rock history. His photographs have been published worldwide for many years in all print mediums including album covers, covers of Rolling Stone, Life, The Saturday Evening Post and more. Landy later focused on new subjects, including impressionistic flower photography, and has published notable works such as Woodstock Vision, The Spirit of A Generation.
