Jim Morrison of The Doors is photographed performing at the Northern California Folk-Rock Festival at the Santa Clara County Fairgrounds in San Jose on May 19, 1968. After the band's residency at the legendary Whisky a-Go-Go and commercial success, the psychedelic frontman left the band to pursue poetry in Paris where he would later die at the age of 27.

His work is part of the permanent collection at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
