About this photograph

In the preparation for the forthcoming album Smile, Guy Webster photographed The Beach Boys reportage style in nature (as he did with the Rolling Stones, the Mamas & the Papas and many others) to evoke that Southern California vibe. In this image he shot them among a grove of palm trees, capturing them at their playful best.
