About this photograph

During a stop in Los Angeles on the Stones’ 1965 U.S. tour, Guy coaxed the group into a chilly December hike through L.A.’s Franklin Canyon Park for a photo shoot. The classically beautiful images that resulted would be used for the stateside release of Big Hits (High Tide and Green Grass), the band’s first compilation LP.
