About this photograph
Peter Simon photographed Robert Plant gazing down upon a huge billboard of Led Zeppelin's album Physical Graffiti on the Sunset Strip from the balcony of the "Riot House" at the Hyatt Hotel in Hollywood.
This is one of Simon's best known photographs, and it captures the Led Zeppelin frontman at the height of both his and the band's careers. "As I took this photo on assignment with Stephen Davis for Atlantic Monthly, Plant shouted out 'I'm a golden god'" - Peter Simon
