He has art directed, photographed, and designed over 400 album covers for iconic artists such as Elton John, Tom Waits, and Dolly Parton. His legendary photograph of Jimi Hendrix burning his guitar at the 1967 Monterey Pop Festival is one of rock's most iconic images, appearing twice on the cover of Rolling Stone. His work is part of the permanent collection at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
