About this photograph
"Photographing Tina Turner at The Forum in 1984 during her comeback "Private Dancer" tour felt like she'd reached the apex of her career. She'd broken far away from Ike and her performance of her first #1 solo hit, "What's Love Got To Do With It?", was one of the greatest moments of my rock photography career. I'd captured several shows in previous years with the Ike & Tina entourage, but this was an entirely new Tina ... and she was on fire!" - Sherry Rayn Barnett
