Born to Run is the third studio album by Bruce Springsteen, released on August 25, 1975 through Columbia Records. Co-produced by Springsteen, Mike Appel, and Jon Landau, the album was recorded in New York from January 1974 to July 1975. Springsteen aimed to create a fuller, Wall of Sound–inspired production, resulting in extended studio sessions with the E Street Band, including six months spent on the title track.
