About this photograph

"Carly arrived at my studio in a casual cotton skirt and blouse. I asked her what she had on underneath. She stripped down to a black teddy and began dancing around the studio to the soundtrack of Shaft. The image used on the cover of her album Playing Possum was considered to be one of the sexiest ever to be on an album and she has recounted how she was criticized for this. Carly was actually in the process of a series of yoga exercises!! She later commented 'Looking at myself I thought – my god, I had a baby 4 months ago. The shot doesn’t go along exactly with the image of new motherhood but I liked it!'”
