Artist Talk & Book Signing | Charles Peterson’s Nirvana
Saturday, April 4, 2026 | 2:00 – 4:00 PM
Join us for an artist talk and book signing with legendary photographer Charles Peterson, whose work is synonymous with the grunge movement. Charles will share stories from his time as the house photographer for Sub Pop and reflect on the photographs that documented the rise of Nirvana.
The conversation centers on his book, Charles Peterson’s Nirvana (Minor Matters, 2024), a collection of photographs documenting the rise of Nirvana and capturing the raw energy of the Seattle music scene that reshaped popular culture.
“Charles was in the trenches, always right down in front. Call his work art or reportage—there is drama and passion, with each image documenting a crucial era in rock music.” — Krist Novoselic
