David Rose

David Rose decided his senior year of high school that photography was what he wanted to do with his life. After graduating he joined the U.S Navy. He became an Aerial Photographer Specialist.

He began his photo career in 1985 when he moved to New York City and assisted legendary photographers Annie Leibovitz and Bill King. While working with Annie he became enamored with portrait photography and the endless possibilities that each individual presented. 

Known for the broad spectrum of personalities that he has worked with through the years, David has created iconic images ranging from world leaders like Nelson Mandela and Bill Clinton to Musicians U2, Bruce Springsteen, Willie Nelson, Snoop Dogg and Kanye West, to actors Johnny Depp, Samuel L. Jackson, Clint Eastwood, Scarlett Johansson, and Nicole Kidman. 

David worked over a decade as Bruce Springsteen's personal photographer during which time his photos appeared on the covers for his albums 'Human Touch', 'Lucky Town', and the EP cover 'Blood Brothers.' He also shot new photos that appeared inside 'Greatest Hits', the 'Tracks' box set, and the documentary feature film 'Blood Brothers.'

His work has appeared in major magazines - Vanity Fair, Vogue, New York Times Magazine, Time, Newsweek, Playboy, Musician, and Rolling Stone. He has also shot movie posters for Sony Pictures and advertising for NBC,ABC, and Disney.

In 2012 he moved away from his beloved New York City and took up residence in the art town of Bisbee,AZ (pop.2,000.) He partnered with David Clark to help create and produce cause related events. "The thing that brings me the greatest joy with my photography and production skills is when I am able to combine them to help better the lives of people around the planet. Whether it is for human rights or clean water or education, this is what I live for these days."
