David Rose

For more than three decades, photographer David Rose captured some of the most influential figures in music, film, and culture, working for publications such as Vanity Fair, Rolling Stone, Time, and Entertainment Weekly.

Among his most celebrated work is his long-running collaboration with Bruce Springsteen, serving as the artist’s personal photographer for over a decade. During that time, Rose created several of Springsteen’s most enduring images, including the album covers for Human Touch and Lucky Town and the promotional poster for the documentary Blood Brothers. His photographs also appeared in Greatest Hits, the Tracks box set, and the Blood Brothers film, offering an intimate visual record of one of rock’s defining storytellers.

Before establishing his own studio, Rose honed his craft assisting legendary photographers Annie Leibovitz and Bill King in New York City, where he developed his passion for portraiture and his ability to reveal the humanity behind fame.

Now based in Bisbee, Arizona, Rose continues to evolve his artistic practice, creating fine art works that blend photography and sculpture. His Springsteen images remain timeless portraits of artistry, authenticity, and American spirit.
