Bruce Springsteen Up Close with Photographer David Rose

Bruce Springsteen Up Close with Photographer David Rose

Join us for an intimate afternoon with photographer David Rose, whose decade-long collaboration with Bruce Springsteen produced one of the most insightful visual chronicles of the artist’s life and work. From 1992 through the early 2000s, Rose served as Springsteen’s photographer of choice, documenting years defined by transition, experimentation, and reinvention. During this period, he created several of Springsteen’s most recognizable images, including the album covers for Human Touch and Lucky Town. These years also included Springsteen’s first records and tours without the E Street Band, the raising of his young family in Los Angeles and New Jersey, and a return to the raw narrative power that shaped his legacy.

This special artist talk coincides with Musichead Gallery’s current exhibition Jersey Poets: Bruce Springsteen & Patti Smith, a photographic exploration of two visionary artists who transformed rock and roll into a language of storytelling, symbolism, and personal expression. Rose will reflect on his unique access to Springsteen during a pivotal chapter of his career and share behind the scenes stories that illuminate the working class narratives, creative discipline, and quiet moments that shaped Springsteen’s public and private personas.

This is a rare chance to hear directly from a photographer who witnessed Springsteen’s world from the inside, and to view his work on display as part of the exhibition.

This event is free to attend, however, reservations are kindly requested.
